Walt Hayes studied art while in college at SUNY Plattsburgh and has been creating copper and plexiglass etchings since that time. He sold several editions in a gallery in Washington DC and many other prints are in private collections. Taking a break while raising a family and pursuing a professional career, he is enjoying the pastel media immensely. Walt is most interested in landscapes which reflect his keen appreciation of nature’s outdoor space. He is an active boater and many of his water scenes originate while onboard.

“Nature provides us with some of the most amazing views and vistas that are a true treasure to behold. These treasures often last just a few moments and it is a pleasure to be able to share some of them with you through my work.”
